Dora P. Valdez, 69, of Bloomfield, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2011, in Farmington. She was born September 19, 1941 in Gobernador, to Jose Emilio and Rafelita Garcia. Dora was a very giving and caring person who loved all and was loved by many. She especially loved her grandchildren, James, Gabriel and Victoria Valdez, J. Emilio Valdez, Keith and Chris Archuleta, Daniela and Amanda Gonzalez-Torres, Brittany McDaniel and Tyrell Sinclair. She also had numerous godchildren. Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Roy N. Valdez, Sr.; her parents; her brothers, Pres Garcia, Marvin Garcia and Emilio Garcia Jr.; and a sister, Della Armenta. She is survived by her son, Roy N. Valdez, Jr. (Rhonda McDaniel); daughters, Berlynda (Nibardo) Gonzalez-Torres, Vivian Valdez and Monica C. (Jerry) Archuleta; brothers Andy Garcia and Melvin Garcia; sisters, Angeline Anaya, Inez Reed, Viola Bond, Nieves Martinez, Connie Garcia and Patricia Selph; and 10 grandchildren. Visitation for Dora will be at 6 p.m. today, August 10th at St. Mary��?�s Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th Street in Farmington. Rosary will be at 7 p.m., after the visitation. The Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 11th at St. Mary��?�s Catholic Church, with Father Michael Vigil as Celebrant. A reception will be held following the Mass, at the parish center. Interment will follow the reception, at the Santo Nino Cemetery in Gobernador. Pallbearers are Roy Valdez, Jr., Nibardo Gonzalez-Torres, Jerry Archuleta, Keith Archuleta, Chris Archuleta, Emilio Valdez, James Valdez and Tyrell Sinclair. Honorary Pallbearers are Any Garcia, Daryl Selph, James Armenta, Michael lPhillipsl Shawn Torres and Cheryl Selph.
