Doris M. Luellen

LUELLEN- Doris M.Luellen age 80, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010. Doris was a resident of Albuquerque where she raised her three children before moving back to Topeka, KS, her birth place, after the death of her husband, Montie S. Carlisle, Esq. She possessed a great love for music, flower gardening and bird watching, but most of all her family. Doris was a member of the Eastern Star-Helena Chapter No. 210 in Topeka, KS and an avid KU basketball fan. She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Iva(Hauschild) Morgan; brother, Charles Morgan; sisters, Carlene Frye, JoAnne Donnelly, and Linda Oritz. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Eckerson and husband, Earl of Edgewood, NM, Beth Simons and husband Tim of Topeka, KS; son, Del R. Carlisle and wife, Jana of Gilbert, AZ; seven grandchildren, Lisa Brooke-Reichert, Jennifer Boyden, Jeremy Carlisle-Simons, Ashley Creollo, Jillian Luna, Janae Anderson and Kristen Ruiz; 13 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Keely, Hunter, Hannah, Alexis, Reaghan, Brennan, Liam, Nevaeh, Izak, and Donovan; three brother, Gary, John, and Dee Morgan; three sisters, Martha Lambert, Iva Lou Cox, and Sandy Wendelberg. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Daniels Family Funeral Services Palm Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
