Doris Mae Strickland

Doris Mae Strickland age 90, passed away on June 1 in Rio Rancho, NM. Doris was born January 11, 1932 in Chicago Illinois, the daughter of Raymond O’Conner and Margaret Kuhn. She worked as a flight attendant and ticket agent for Continental Airlines for many years and loved traveling the world and seeing different sights.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents Raymond O’Conner and Margaret Kuhn, her brother Raymond O’Conner, II, and her partner of many years, Earl Bracken. She is survived by her son Mark Riddiford and his wife Sharon, granddaughters Marquelle McFarland (Becky), Shawna Topping (Jeremy) , and Susan Valdez (Adrian). Doris is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at St. Patrick’s/ St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton at a later date. Funeral arrangements for Doris Strickland are under the direction of Daniel’s Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, in Rio Rancho and the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home in Raton.
