Dorothy "Dora" Gonzales

June 14, 1950 — January 30, 2022

DOROTHY ‘Dora” GONZALES 72, Born on June 14,1950 Took her first breath in Heaven on January 30, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was met with open arms by her beloved husband and the love of her life Jesus Gonzales. She was preceded in death by her parents Rosendo and Jesusita Gomez, her special grandson Gabriel Baldonado, four brothers Speedy, Luciano, Arbano, and Robert Gomez and sister Bernice Gandara and special brother-in-law Valentine Saavedra and sister in law Sofie Gomez.

Dora is survived by both her sons George Maldonado and Mark Maldonado and partner Cecelia Yazzie and very special granddaughter Deedee Maldonado who she has raised since infancy. She is also survived by two Brothers: Juan Gomez and Daniel Gomez and two sisters Cecilia Saavedra and Lucinda and David Ware. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved with her all. Dora had many wonderful nieces and nephews whom she was very grateful for on so many different levels each had a unique relationship with her. But one definitely stood out above all- her niece Angela Gonzalez. Angela cared for Dora in so many ways and always went above and beyond on a daily basis without hesitation.

Dora was a loving, caring and sassy lady who threw her chancla at her target and never missed! She loved to listen to her cantos (very loudly), read her Bible, share stories about the past, and give great advice, (this will definitely be missed). She loved to play Bingo(with her niece April) and go to the casino. She loved to play Yahtzee and Loteria with her sisters and nieces. She loved her Bob’s Burgers and atole. Dora was an amazing cook who could cook a wonderful meal with whatever she had in her house. She made a killer chile werrito and her beans were soooo good! We will miss her so much!
