Feb. 6, 1916 - Oct. 9, 2011 Dorothy Louise Means Weaver, 95, of The Bridge in Farmington, died on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at San Juan Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 6, 1916, in Villisca, Iowa, to Joseph B. Means and Maude Marie Wise Means. Mrs. Weaver graduated from high school in Villisca. She graduated from business school in Houston, Texas. In 1942, Dorothy and James C. Weaver were married. They were married for 42 years until his death, Dec. 12, 1983. Mrs. Weaver was retired. She enjoyed reading, bingo and needlework. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters, Helen Elwood and Lois Taylor. She is survived by her son, James C. (Anna) Weaver Jr.; daughter, Carolyn Weaver (Terrence P.) Darby; five grandchildren, Sean Patrick, Justin, Michael and Joe; and eight great-grandchildren, Dylan, Reagan, Gracie, Austin, Gavin, Morgan, Gwynneth and Grant.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at The Bridge, 1091 W. Murray Drive in Farmington. The Rev. Glenn Perica will officiate. Arrangements are with Daniels Family Funeral Services
