It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew Albert Lovato, a cherished Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Nino and Friend. Andrew passed away at the age of 73, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, unexpectedly in his home, in Bernalillo, NM. He was born September 12, 1950 to Vitalio and Martha Lovato.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Theresa Lovato; son Jason Lovato, girlfriend Susan Tafoya; daughter Tracy Jaramillo, husband David Jaramillo; grandchildren Jason Lovato, Joshua, Aubrey and Nikki Jaramillo; brother-in-law Lawrence Perez Sr.; niece Bernadette Perez; godchildren Joshua Sena, Gennaro Lepre, Lawrence Perez Jr., Vincent Archibeque, Monique Rinaldi, and Allen Dugger.
Andrew was loved by many in the community. He made friends wherever he would go. Andrews’s grandchildren were the biggest joy and greatest blessings in his life. You could always find him at any basketball court, any baseball/softball fields sitting in the bleachers cheering them on. Their “Pa” would never miss any game. Andrew was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Dodgers. We know now that he has the best seat in the house to cheer on his grandchildren and his teams.
Andrews’s warmth, his gentle presence and his unfaltering love for his family will be deeply missed.
Services to honor Andrews’ life will be held Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00am, followed by the funeral mass at 10:30am.
