Duane “Kip” Lewis George 11/1/54 – 1/19/19 & Patricia “Pat” Lynn George (Bartel) 5/6/57-1/19/19
On January 19th, 2019 we suddenly lost both Pat and Kip George and they will be missed by so many. Proceeded in death by Parents Albert & Lyla Bartel, Lawrence George; survived by Kip’s mother Lucille George and their beloved dog Princess. Daughters Marcia Hunsinger, Misty (Dave) Wallace and Mindi (Tim) Siercks. Grandchildren Cole Hunsinger, Aaron Hunsinger, Stephanie Hunsinger, Kayla Siercks, Kelsy Siercks, Leathan Wallace & Naomi Wallace. Kip’s siblings Scott (Monica) George, Blair (Sue) George, Loren (Sue) George & Mark (Julie) George. Pat’s Siblings Al (Karen) Bartel, Shelly (Robert) Branchford, Paul (Susan) Bartel & Lyla Peloquin. Married 11/18/1975 & renewed vows in 11/2000 with their 3 daughters by their side as well as original attendants Larry & Gloria Hoyles. They leave behind many beloved lifelong friends who were just as close as family; Deb & Ken Long, Robert & Maureen Keppy, Linda & Steve Carvel, Colleen Javes and so many more.
Spending significant portions of their lives in Golden Valley MN, Dayton MN, Plymouth MN, Elk River MN & Weslaco TX. Kip retired the first time from Metal Sales Manufacturing in Rogers MN but returned to work for Great Batch in Plymouth MN before finally retiring for real. Pat worked in the medical assembly field until she was unable to work after suffering a shoulder injury at work and patiently waited Kip’s retirement to let the travels become fulltime. Group Affiliations they had include Good Sam’s, Moose Lodge of International Falls Minnesota & Wheeling Loons Camping Group. Their travels took them many places through the years including Mexico, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Malaysia, most of the lower 48 and their most frequent destination Canada to visit family. Many memories were made sharing their love both of Disney Theme Parks & Wisconsin Dells with Daughters and Grandchildren whenever they could.
Memorial services to be held: A small Texas service February 17th, 2019 in Weslaco, TX at Siesta Retirement Village. Minnesota service to be held Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at Mt Olive Lutheran Church in Anoka, MN at 1pm with visitation one hour prior to service.
