Dwight Dean Phillips

Dwight Phillips, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend went to Heaven on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.  

Dwight was born to Joney and Pauline Phillips on January 1, 1956 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He then moved to China Grove, North Carolina until at age eight, his family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to be missionaries.  He met his future wife on the mission field.  On October 23, 1976, he married Eileen Ammons in Maryland.  He worked at Sears Automotive Center for 28 years in Maryland before returning to New Mexico in 2011. 

He enjoyed spending time with his family, taking care of his rescue dogs, and going on road trips.

He was preceded in death by parents Joney and Pauline Phillips, brother Lawrence Phillips, niece Renae Pinto, and nephew Bruce Pinto Sr..

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Eileen Phillips, daughter Jennifer Jeffers (Alvin), grandchildren Michael III, Jacob, and Ryan; sister Beverly Hines (Tom); nephew Lawrence Phillips Jr (Desiree); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Visitation will be at Daniels Funeral Home 2400 Southern Blvd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 5pm-7pm.  Cards can be sent to Eileen Phillips, PO Box 56, Bernalillo NM 87004.
