E. Jane Curtis

Curtis, E. Jane Passed away peacefully January 10, 2013. She was born August 24, 1917 to Ida Mae Howard and William T. Morton. One of seven children, born in Granby, Missouri. Jane had four sons during her first 26 year marriage to James S. Henry; Sons, John David Henry, James Thomas (Tom) Henry, Steven Eldon Henry and Jeffrey Paul Henry. Jane married James B. Curtis, on February 10, 1962. They were married 47 years until James B. passed away in 2009. John and wife Pauline (Fresquez) have four children, son David followed by twins, Sandra and Debra and daughter Kari. Tom and wife Treva (Glines) have two children, Frank and Stewart. Steve married his high school sweetheart, Beverlee (Carlson) and have two sons, David and Brian. Jeff married Melissa (Missy Harrington) and have two sons, Cody and Preston. Her sons Tom and Steve preceded her and were a great loss to Jane. Jane's great nephew and wife, Willy and Cathy Williamson filled Jane's life with much happiness in her recent years. Jane had an abundance of grandkids great grandkids and even a great, great granddaughter. Jane had 95 years of a very full, fun, and loving life. She shared many wonderful happy days with everyone she met up to her last days especially playing bridge with her friends at Bear Canyon Estates. Many years were spent with husband James B. Curtis, traveling to every corner of the earth whether on a plane or in their motor home as celebrated Country Coach RV members. They also loved parking the RV at Balloon Fiesta Park enjoying days of fun and friendships. Jane never met a stranger. Throughout her marriage, Jane spent many hours coaching Jim in the wood shop which produced many family handcrafted heirlooms. Jane had a devotion to Meals on Wheels and spent many happy hours sharing her personality with people she loved to help. Jane worked as the Executive Secretary for the New Mexico Dental Association for more than 20 years and was the money manager-bookkeeper of her and her husband's company Desert Industrial as well. Final days were spent comfortably at Presbyterian-Anna Kaseman Hospice whose respectful care is greatly appreciated by her family. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Jane's honor to Meals on Wheels 5901 Harper Drive Northeast Albuquerque, NM 87109, (505) 823-8060. This would please Jane "to no end" as she used to say. Jane was a long time member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. She loved her church. She had a huge heart; donating time and giving all she could of herself, Jane took care of everyone else before herself. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
