Earl D. Zaplin

March 4, 1958 — February 18, 2022

It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Earl. He is survived by his wife, Carol, of thirty years, daughter Savannah Skinner (Tyrone), stepson Dominic Garcia, brother Michael Zaplin (Ann), and brother-in-law Ronnie Vaughan (Joyce). He is also survived by five beautiful grandchildren, Chanel, Miya, Olivia, Mikaylah, and Gabrielah. He also had nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and countless other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Heinz, mother Eufrosine, and brother Roger.

He grew up loving football, especially the Indianapolis Colts. Earl loved dogs, especially our previous dog Mika, who was his shadow, and now sweet Marley. Earl loved the older Corvettes and owned a few when he was younger. He liked to make people laugh and was always cracking jokes, and quote Seinfeld lines.

Earl worked for Amigo Rentals for many years before becoming a realtor for the Vaughan Company and Allstar Realty. He went on to semi-retire and make the best jerky for his family and friends. Earl and his wife traveled often, seeing many parts of the world. Earl, you will be greatly missed and always loved by those of us who were blessed enough to have you in our lives.

Funeral Services will be held at Daniels Family Funeral & Cremation located at 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE on March 10, 2022, at 11 am, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Albuquerque Humane Society or ASPCA.
