The Heart of Earlastine:
She volunteered with the grandparent’s ministry that was directed by Mary Ann Vigil. They served veterans, senior care facilities and preschoolers by providing prayer, food, and other resources. Earlastine was a prayer warrior and made herself available anyplace, anytime, standing in agreement in prayer with anyone who needed her.
Earlastine loved her family dearly. Throughout the ups and downs, the good and bad, she was praying and supporting her family. Her phone calls to her kids and grandkids were numerous, always wanting the best for us in our relationships with each other.
Earlastine was a fashionista who loved to shop at the finest malls in California, the finest boutiques in Albuquerque, and took great pleasure in finding a nugget or two at estate sales. She took pride in how she looked from her hair to her shoes. She loved to dine at the finest restaurants when time and money allowed. Above all, what she loved most was the Lord and prayer. She loved venturing out to Christian Conventions and traveling abroad to see as much of the world as possible.
On Saturday, July 4, 2020, at 4PM, her journey in this life came to an end when she transitioned from our presence to God’s Holy presence in Glory. She passed in peace at home with her family.
She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories her loving and devoted daughter, Valerie Garrett-Mazes, son-in-law Rodney Mazes; seven grandchildren: Daron Brown, Chekona Brown-Cooper (Fred), Megin Jackson, Danae Jackson, Dan Hindman, Brandon Jackson, Kim Hindman; nine great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
