Funeral services for Edgar E. Dahozy, 57, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, at family church Assembly of God. Kenneth Delaney will officiate. Burial will be in Rainbow Ridge, family plot. Dahozy died Sept. 15, 2010, in Gallup. He was born Dec. 5, 1951, in Fort Defiance, into the Folded Arms People Clan for the Salt People Clan. Dahozy graduated in 1971 from Window Rock School. He was a United States Army Vietnam veteran and employed with the Navajo Nation Water Resources Department and and electrican. Survivors include his wife, Susan Day of Hunters Point; son, William Dahozy of Hunters Point; daughters, Yolanda Allen of Kayenta, Desiraye Dahozy of Chinle, Larissa Dahozy of Hunters Point, Clarissa Dahozy of Hunters Point; brothers, Edison D. Dahozy, Victor Dahozy, both of Tohatchi, Herman G. Dahozy of Tse Bonito, Ellison G. Dahozy Jr. of Tohatchi; sisters, Ruthie Alexius, Ella Smith, Ertha Ahasteen, Loretta Bennett, Alberta Dahozy-Campos, all of Fort Defiance, Rosie D. Bryant of Window Rock; nine grandchildren. Dahozy was preceded in death by his parents, Ellison Dahozy Sr., Frances Dahozy; grandparents, Tom D. Howard, Elizabeth Howard, William and Rose Dahozy. Pallbearers will be Shannon Othermedicine, Ryan Smith, Vernon Morgan, Casey Dahozy, Sean Ahasteen, Darwin Dahozy, Charles Day, Lynal Damon.
