Edmund L. Yara, 72, resident of Albuquerque, NM, our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend was called to our heavenly father on August 16, 2011. He was born to the late Lucas and Clara Yara on November 16, 1938, in Denver, CO. Ed is survived by his beloved wife Rose Yara; brothers Frank, Leo, and Johnny; sister Barbara; daughters Maria Loffelmacher husband Charles Brown, Edie Yara (Ted Nieto); grandchildren Luke Loffelmacher, Ninamarie Yara-Nieto, Tinamarie Yara-Nieto; great grandson Randy Warren; late soul brother Walter Duffy, nieces, nephews and friends. Ed and Rose were childhood friends and soul mates; they have been married 53 years. Ed recently retired from APS where he was a dedicated employee of Career Enrichment Center for 23 years. Ed is deeply loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. One of the many things that will always be remembered is the generosity of both Ed and Rose. They have helped many people in need over the years, some of which were complete strangers. Ed would have given the shirt off his back if he knew someone needed it more then him. Memorial services will be held Monday August 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception 619 Copper NW. Albuquerque, NM. Interment services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Yara family or a charity of choice.
