Edward Milton Knutson

Edward Milton Knutson, 51, of Kirtland, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 26, 2009, from a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 15, 1958 in Vulga, South Dakota to Donald and Alberta Knutson. Eddie and his wife, Kathy opened their home to many family members through the years. Although they were unable to have children of their own, Eddie raised his sister, Holli, as a daughter. At the time of his death, Eddie and Kathy were full time caregivers for their niece Monique, and nephew, Zacharia. If not for Eddie and Kathy, many children would have gone without. Eddie also had a great love for his dogs. Chester, Bird, BearCat, Gizmo, and Puppy will greatly miss him. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Alberta Marie Knutson and Donald Foster Knutson; grandparents, in-laws, and beloved dogs; Ben, Spud, Roxy and Mandy. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathy; Aunt Granny Jean Edmondson who has lived with him since 1996 and whom he greatly loved; sisters, Peggy and Holli; and brother Robbie. A graveside service will be held, Monday, Nov. 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington. Edward has been entrusted to the care of Alternative Choice Cremation and Funeral Services 804 N.
