Effelita George

George died Feb. 28, 2011, in Ganado. She was born Oct. 3, 1956, in Ganado, Arizona. George was born into the Towering House People Clan and born for the Water’s Edge People Clan. George graduated from Holbrook High School and earned her business degree from Haskell University. She was employed with Arizona Public Service for over 30 years. Survivors include her son, Nathan George; daughter, LCPL Michelle Joyce; parents, Dan and Bessie George; seven brothers; six sisters; two grandchildren. George was preceded in death by her son, LCPL Kevin Joyce; brothers, Leroy George, Stanley George. Family and friends will be received at Klagetoh Chapter House, following services.
