Eileen Kuper, age 94, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. She is survived by brother; Earl Graefe, daughter; Rebecca Dollahon, grandchildren; Shanat Georgia and Tajin Simbron, and great-grandchildren; Isabella, Gabriella, Emburlyn, and Kayden. Mrs. Kuper was preceded in death by parents George and Bertha Graefe, brother; Carl Graefe, husband William Kuper, and sons; Eric and Aaron Kuper.
Eileen was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up on her family dairy farm. She graduated from
Jarrettsville High School in 1946. She then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to attend Medical Technology School to become a laboratory technician. In 1950, she accepted a position in Albuquerque,
New Mexico at the Santa Fe Railroad Memorial Hospital, where she worked until she retired. She made Albuquerque her home, and there she married her husband William Kuper in 1956. They had three children together. She maintained lifelong friendships with many of her old schoolmates and colleagues. She loved to sew and cook and shared that knowledge with young family and friends. Eileen was always very thoughtful; she never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or holiday. Eileen worked very hard throughout her life to provide for her family. Upon retirement, she became a fulltime grandma for her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, talking, playing, and reading with them. She always gave her whole heart to those she loved and everything she did. She was a true blessing to anyone that had the fortune to have her in their life and she will be greatly missed by all.

Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 11, 2023; 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1860 Griegos Road NW, Albuquerque, NM, with Father Chris Hallada, Celebrant.
Due to construction, please access the church through the entrance on San Isidro Street. Inurnment will immediately follow at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM.
