Elbert Begay

Begay was born into the Mexican People Clan for the Folded Arms People Clan. Begay graduated from Ganado High School in 1993 and attended Technical College in Phoenix. He was a roofer in Denver, Colo. and worked at SMASE. He enjoyed watching NFL, NBA, CMT and rodeos. Survivors include his son, Tyler Begay; daughter, Makaila Begay; brother, Everette B. Begay Sr. of Gallup, Ernest B. Begay of Dilcon; sister, Marlana M. Valdez of Denver, Colo. Begay was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Begay Sr., Mamie Poyer Begay. Pallbearers will be Martin Begaii, Leonard Begaii, Felix Serafin Jr., Paul Cayatineto, Adrian Tom, Larrick Johnson.
