Elizabeth Jane DeAveiro

DeAveiro, Elizabeth Jane Age 76, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 3, 1942, to Matthew and Elizabeth DeAveiro.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Chiapello of The Villages, Fl; brothers, Matthew J. and Eddie DeAveiro of Rio Rancho, NM; Domestic Partner, David B Land of Manhasset, NY; 15 nieces, nephews and her beloved pets Fat Cat and Big Foot.

Elizabeth received her Masters in Art and Special Education at St. John's University in Queens, NY. She was a Teacher from 1961 to 2005 over 44 years. She received Teacher of the year from Rockaway Junior High School.

Elizabeth had a special in interest in Arts and Crafts. She was a member of the Photo Club, Movie Critic and Dominican Sisters of Amityville, where she was also a Teaching Nun.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2018 - at 6:00 PM, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Chapel Rd., Rio Rancho, NM.

Rosary to follow Visitation

Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 - at 10:30 AM, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, NM. Entombment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, NM.
