Ellis Glenn Groomer
April 5, 1935 - July 28, 2011 Ellis Glenn Groomer, 76, of Farmington, died on Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Farmington. He was born April 5, 1935, in the town of Gene Autry, Okla., to Lloyd and Clara Groomer.
Ellis moved to Farmington in 1955. He worked for Halliburton and for the Farmington Police Department. In 1979, Ellis and Ivan Clay opened Clay Groomer Machine Shop. Ellis worked there until his passing.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; sons, Steve (Loretta) Groomer and Glenn Groomer; and his daughter, Margaret (Kenneth) Spencer.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Pi�?±on Hills Community Church, 5101 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington. Pastor Tim Hargrove will officiate.
