Gonzales, Elvira (Vera) M. 
Age 83, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico surrounded by her loving family as she took her last breath here on earth.  She was born in San Antonio, NM on June 18, 1935, to Alfredo Jojola, Sr. and Alvinita (Montoya) Jojola. She married the love of her life, Eddie Gonzales, on August 23, 1954. The rest is history made of love, laughter, commitment, and faith. Vera worked for the Socorro Consolidated Schools as well as Eagle Pitcher before becoming a Homemaker and caring for her home and children. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years and by her parents. Vera is survived by brother, Alfredo (Jeanee) Jojola, Jr; sons; Tony Gonzales, Melvin (Gina) Gonzales, Joe (Vicky) Gonzales, Carlos Gonzales, Paul (Amie) Gonzales; daughters; Mercedes (Bob) Ortega, Renee (James) Hollis; and two nieces. Vera will live on in the hearts of her 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and one great-great-grandchild. Vera will also be remembered by other loving family and close friends. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, 1:00 pm, at San Antonito Catholic Cemetery followed by the inurnment.
