Emily L. Wilson

WILSON- Emily Wilson passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Andrew Maes Wilson; mother Josefita Lovato; sons, Andrew Wilson, Edward Wilson, and granddaughter Lorrie Jean Wilson. Emily is survived by her son, Amos Wilson and wife, Mary; daughter Audrey Battaglia and husband, Christopher; one brother, Vicente Lovato and wife, Vangie; and her sister Emma Garcia. Emily was a proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren: Marty Wilson, Shelly Benavidez, Elaina Battaglia, Amos Wilson Jr., Tamara Archuleta, Allison File, Rocky Wilson, Emily Lowe, Audrey Gibbons, Richard Gomez, Henrietta Gomez, Theresa Molano, and Edward Wilson. Emily was also a proud great grandmother to 24 great grandchildren: Shawn Wilson, Jeanine Wilson, Brittany Skye Wilson, Zoe Wilson, Aimee Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Andrew Gonzales, Brandon Archuleta, Issac Rael Jr., Mariyah File, Kalyssa File, Tyler Pimental, Avory Wilson, Elijah Lowe, Malachi Lowe, Lyric Lowe, Chanel Wilson, Gage Wilson, Ricky Gomez, Vanessa Gomez, Matthew Blout, Cecilia Molano, Jose Molano and Alisha Herrera. Emily also had six great, great grandchildren that she loved, Aileanna Gonzales, Olivia Wilson, Jason Wilson, Logan Neiswonger, Xavier Gonzales and Shalynn Hunter as well as countless nieces and nephews. Emily was an avid bingo player and enjoyed cooking. In her last years she enjoyed going to the casino and telling countless stories about when she was a young girl. Whether you knew Emily one day or your whole life she always left an impression of such joy and happiness in your heart. She will be loved and missed by many. The Wilson family would like to thank Ambercare for their wonderful assistance with Emily and in helping our family deal with this great loss. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday August 11 and Thursday August 12 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. The Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial will be announced tomorrow. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Andrew Wilson, at 2:30 pm on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
