Emmanuela “Ella” Okolue, age 67, a devoted mother, wife, and the steady rock of our family, passed on October 13th, 2025. Ella was known for her unwavering hard work, loyalty, and selfless dedication. She lived a life rooted in caring for others, whether tending to sick friends, opening her home to anyone in need, or inviting others to share meals during holidays. She was deeply prayerful, believing in the power of kindness and compassion, and she carried those values into every relationship she nurtured. Ella found joy in traveling and cooking. For every joy and every burden, the rosary was her first answer and her constant companion; a reminder of the grace, warmth, and quiet strength she embodied.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Okolue; her children, Adaobi, Olisaemeka, Obianuju, and her cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Fabian and Christopher, and Her Sisters, Susan, Magdalene, and Christiana. She also leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also touching Ella’s life were her in-laws, friends, and colleagues. Ella was preceded in death by her brother, Charles; her mother, Francisca; and Her Father, Christopher. A Mass will be held on January 16th, 2026, at 9am at the John XXII Catholic community. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
