TO’HAJIILEE, N.M. - Services for Ephraim Aaron Atencio, 45, of To’Hajiilee, will be held Tuesday, June 02, @ 10 a.m. , at Daniel’s Funeral - CARLISLE CHAPEL in Albuquerque, N.M. Internment followed at To’Hajiilee Gateway to Heaven, from 1-2 p.m.

Ephraim was born October 18, 1980, in Albuquerque, NM, into the Tábąąhá (Water’s Edge Clan), born for Kinyaa’ánii (Towering House Clan). He passed away on May 25, 2026, in To’Hajiilee, N.M.

Ephraim enjoyed cooking, weaving, singing southern powwow songs, working, and helping his elders.

Ephraim is survived by his parents, Rita Skeet and Cecil Atencio; sons, Ephraim (Eyan) Atencio and Kee Atencio; daughters, Alliana Atencio and Nizhoni Atencio; sister, Carmelita Atencio-Tewahaftewa; brothers, Conjo and Canon Atencio.

Ephraim was preceded in death by his brother, Dewart Skeet; Grandmothers, Margaret Martin, Bessie Garcia, and Juanita Platero.

A reception will take place at the DC Center in To’Hajiilee, following the burial.
