Chavez, Eristeo (Ed) Padilla 
Age 79, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019. He was born in Quemado, NM on December 18, 1939, to Candelario Jr. and Teresita  Chavez. He was preceded in death by his father, Candelario Chavez, Jr., mother, Teresita Padilla Chavez, brother, Lorenzo Chavez, brother-in-law, Gary Calpito, nephew, Keith Ray Calpito, brother, Edwardo Chavez. Eristeo is survived by sister, Arcenia  (Archie) Chavez of Socorro, NM, sister, Anito Calpito, sister, Frances P. Chavez, sister-in-law Aurilia Chavez, nephews, Lorenzo (Jessica) Chavez, Edward (Lynn) Chavez, Kenneth (Sofie) Calpito and many beloved great and great-great nephews and nieces.  Eristeo loved his family beyond measure. Eristeo is known for his bright smile and having ranched his entire life. He had many hobbies to include listening to classic country/western music and the "oldies but goodies" music. He was an avid reader of western novels and thoroughly enjoyed western movies. Rosary to be recited on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 9:30 am at the Sacred Heart Church in Quemado, New Mexico. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated immediately following at 10:00 am. Celebrant is Father Daley.  Burial will take place at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Quemado, New Mexico following the service.
