Lutz, Erla Lydia Age 69, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011. She was born on August 12, 1942 to Rolf and Harriette Lutz, in Aachen, Germany. She grew up in Northern Arizona and joined the US Army as an enlisted soldier and rose to the rank of Captain. After the service she attended the University of Arizona and then entered the insurance industry and formed her own adjustment company. Ms. Lutz is renowned for her professionalism and served as the state of New Mexico's Patients Compensation Fund administrator for the past 20 years. An outdoors woman, she enjoyed walking, biking, hiking, and gardening. Ms. Lutz is a diehard college basketball fan who cheered for the New Mexico State University Aggies and the University of New Mexico Lobos. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rolf and Harriette Lutz. Erla is survived by her life partner, Christina M. Alvarez; in-laws, E. Charles and Patricia Alvarez, Raymond, Elizabeth and Thomas Alvarez and their families. AVisitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with Eulogies to be given at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services -Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 601 Montano Road NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Interment with military honors will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Ms. Lutz' care has been entrusted to: Daniels Family Funeral Services
