Erna E. Zorn

Erna Emma Zorn passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on July 12, 1925 in New Ulm, Minnesota, the 6th of 11 children born to Julius and Emma Grams. 

In her youth, Erna attended St. Paul's Lutheran School and graduated from New Ulm High School. She was a telephone operator in New Ulm and Minneapolis and was united in marriage to Howard Zorn on April 11, 1953 in Denver, CO.

Erna is survived by her sister Betty (Gene) LeVitre of Minneapolis and brothers Walter of New Ulm, Richard (Shirley) of LaCrosse, WI and many nephews and nieces.  She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son Robert, son William, sisters Florence Scharlemann, Irma Huhn, Marie Vanderwerf, Arlene Buss and brothers Edwin and Hep.

Erna was a very active individual who treasured memories of a happy 55 year marriage.  She worked as a church secretary for many years and enjoyed clogging, basketball, cross country skiing and also volunteered at schools and non-profit organizations.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 7, at Sandia Memory Gardens in Albuquerque.  The service will be officiated by Pastor Gene Zeller of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
