Ernest P. Gurule

GURULE- Ernest P. Gurule, 83, loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Ernest was born June 24, 1927 and was a life long resident of Albuquerque, NM. Ernest proudly served our Country in the US Army and was an active member of the American Legion. Ernest loved baseball and ping-pong but above all he loved his family. Ernest was a devoted husband to his loving wife for 63 years. He is survived by his wife Catalina; his children Pauline Padilla and husband Mike, Bonnie Gurule, Jeannie Lucero and husband Tim, Sam Gurule and wife Senaida, Anthony Gurule and wife Janet, Eric Gurule and wife Carolyn, Lisa Dannenbaum and husband Richard, his grandchildren Nanette, Michelle, Martijn, Joost, Krystle, Amber, Justin, Sam Jr., Samantha, Anthony Jr., Jerome, Roxanne, Patrick, Elizabeth, Ashlee, Isabella, Kristyn, Desiree, Grace, Maddison; great-grandchildren Brooke, Anthony, Luis, Fabriscio, Estevan, Destiny, Andrew and Evan; sisters Maria Gurule, Albina Mora and Elenore Ramirez; brother-in-law Everisto Martinez; cousin George and Virginia Nuanez; Orlando Pino; and dear friend Paul Zamora. Ernest is preceded in death by his children Pauline Lorraine Gurule and Ernest (Tinker) Jr. Gurule. A Rosary will be recited Thursday October 7, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Blvd. SW; with a Memorial Mass to begin at 9:00 a.m.; Inurnment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
