Lindbo, Ernest J. Age, 89, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 in Rio Rancho, NM. He was born February 9, 1925 to Carl and Betsy Lindbo in Petersburg, NE. Ernie served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines, during World War II. He returned to Tilden, NE and married Delores Kahland on February 20, 1946. They had two children Cheryl and Jerome. They lived in Tilden, Norfolk, and Grand Island, NE. From there they moved to Casper, WY. Ernie and Delores divorced in 1962. Ernie moved to Wisconsin and Delores and children moved back to Columbus, NE. Delores (Lindbo) Startozcik passed away on January 18, 2013. Ernie was active in the towing business for 50 years and is in the National Towing Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Louis Lindbo. He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl D. Oppliger, and his son, Jerome D. Lindbo, both of Columbus, NE; grandchildren: Jamie Oppliger; grandson, Jeff (Michelle) Oppliger; great grandson, Cole Oppliger, both of Columbus, NE; Jonette Kruk, and great grandsons: Blake, Cody, Dawson, all of Highland, CA; Jamie (Aaron) Murphy, and great grandson, Hayden, of Huntington Beach, CA; longtime companion and very special friend, Ellyn Heath and her children: Jack E.
