Ernest F. Lucky

Lucky, Ernest F. 

age 88, passed in peace on Saturday, October 27, 2018. He was Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years in marriage, Phyllis Lee (Burk) Lucky May 14, 2013.  Ernest and his twin brother Elmer were born May 9, 1930 in Jonesboro, Louisiana. They were the youngest of 10 Lucky siblings which have all preceded him. 

He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and later worked for Delta Airlines where he and Phyllis met. They were married in Albuquerque and are survived by their 8 children, Mike and wife Sue, Kathy and husband Richard, Pat, Dan, Rick and wife Kim, Margaret and husband Andre, Christy, Elizabeth and husband Brett; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grand child; Sister-in-law Nancy Domenici; and nephew/brother Jackie Lucky as well as many other relatives from his large extended family.

 A Rosary will be recited on Monday, November 5, 2018, at 6:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Wyoming Chapel, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl NE, Albuquerque. Inurnment will take place at 3:00 pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery. 

“Lucky” is warmly remembered for his kind spirit and humorous nature.  He was a friend to all who met him.
