SADE - Ernestine Sanchez Sade, 81, passed away May 5, 2010. She was born April 6, 1929 in Galisteo, New Mexico to her parents, Amadeo and Feliz Sanchez. Her first 28 years of life were lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico and then she traveled with husband, Albert, throughout the U.S. while he served in the Air Force. Upon Albert’s retirement, they stayed in Fairborn, Ohio and raised their two daughters, Debra Anna and Cynthia Feliz. Ernestine longed to be back in her homeland, so they returned to New Mexico in 1983, settling in the growing town of Rio Rancho. A devoted mother and wife, she was greatly respected and loved by friends and family. Ernestine spent her life volunteering for many good causes. She enjoyed giving her time to Storehouse West, Lovelace Westside Hospital gift shop, her church and her family. Her hobbies included bowling, canning, ceramics, gardening, golf, painting, and theatre. Her heart was in everything she did. She loved cooking for her family and friends….her enchiladas were the best! She will always be remembered as the great caretaker for her many brothers and sisters she shared her earlier life with in Santa Fe. Ernestine retired from the federal government as a civil service employee and then continues working into her retirement as a tax preparer. She loved traveling, especially to Washington to spend time with her family and going on Cruises. Ernestine is survived by her husband of 52 years, Albert Laiho Sade; two daughters, Debra Anna Sade of Rio Rancho, and Cynthia Feliz Sade-Ehrgott and husband Michael James Ehrgott of Pasco, Washington. Ernestine was a devoted and proud grandmother to her four grandchildren: Daniel Sade of Rio Rancho and Whitney Lauren Ehrgott, Madison Jo Ehrgott, and Bailey Anna Ehrgott, all three of Pasco, Washington. She is survived by three siblings: Marcella Christine Sanchez Duran, Eusevio Ramone Sanchez and Marcos Orlando Sanchez, all of Santa Fe. The many loving nephews, nieces, family and friends that Ernestine leaves behind will always have fond and loving memories of this fine, strong woman we call Mom, Grandma, Auntie, and Wife. Ernestine’s care has been entrusted to:
