Escolastico Lucky Romero

Escolastico “Lucky” Romero passed away on May 13, 2011 in Albuquerque. He was 67. He was born on June 5, 1943 in Cubero, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife: Georgia Romero; children: Peggy Romero and Del Martinez of Grants, Cathy Romero of Grants, Escolastico “Lucky” Romero Jr. and his wife Bobbi Jo of Phoenix, AZ., and Marcko Romero of Grants. His brothers; Orlando Romero and Lucille Mazon of Grants, Pete Romero and his wife Clara of Elko, NV., His sister; Priscilla Romero of Las Vegas, NV., His Grandchildren; Darin Brann and his wife Cailee of Arlington, TX., Michelle Brann of Grants, Naomi Martinez of Grants, Nicole Montoya of Milan, Gabriel Montoya of Milan. One Great-Granddaughter; Addison Grace Brann. In addition, his grand-puppy JoBo. He was preceded in death by his parents; Pete Romero and Nilda Baca Romero, and his sister; Mary Barela. On Tuesday May 17, 2011 at St. Teresa Catholic Church, a viewing will begin at 6:00 pm, then at 7:00 pm a Rosary will be led by, Deacon Larry Chavez. On Wednesday May 18, 2011 at 11:00 am also at St. Teresa Catholic Church, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Edwin Bryan. Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post #3221. Private interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date. Pallbearers include; Darin Brann, Gabriel Montoya, Kash Elkins, Alex Dominguez, Del Martinez, Dominic Sanchez, Marty Lujan and Josh Hood. Honorary Pallbearers include; Nicole Montoya, Michelle Brann, Naomi Martinez, Cailee and Addison Brann, his many nephews and nieces, Sky City Casino family and “The Boys” from Coyote Del Malpais Golf Course.
