Evelyn Peg"" Furney

FURNEY -- Evelyn "Peg" Furney, 86, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2010 with her family by her side. Peg was born on July 9, 1924 to Reverend Frederick and Irene (Singleton) Williams of Bridgeman, MI. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Furney and partner, Melissa Williams, of Albuquerque, NM; a brother, Duane Wilson of Tucson, AZ; and many close friends. Peg had a successful career in banking and was the first female Vice President of First Interstate Bank. She will be remembered for her love of animals, her luck at gambling and her great sense of humor. Special thanks to Mary, Vicki, and Rita. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 2801 Lomas Blvd. NE.
