Evelyn M Pedersen

PEDERSEN - Evelyn M. (Knudsen) Pedersen, beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Friday, September 30, 2011 in Socorro, NM with her loving family surrounding her. Evelyn was born on October 13, 1918 to Truels and Freda (Bohl) Knudsen, in Buffalo Center,Winnebago County, IA and was the mainstay of her extended family. She was an excellent cook and accomplished seamtress, and her great joys were homemaking and music. She served as pianist/organist for the United Methodist Church in Newfield, NJ for many years and after moving to Socorro in 1991 took up the keyboard duties at St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Truels and Freda(Bohl) Knudsen; her husband, August C. Pedersen; her brother, Robert M. Knudsen; her son and daughter-in-law Kenneth C. and Vera Pedersen. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen M. (Pedersen) and John W. Schlue of Socorro, NM; grandson Erik C. Pederson and wife Jennifer of West Grove, PA; granddaughter Emily L. (Pedersen- Sanchez) McAlack and husband John of Cinnaminson, NJ; granddaughter, Amanda Schlue of San Diego, CA; grandson, Ehren W. Schlue and wife Victoria of Albuquerque, NM; Six great-grandchildren; her brother, Harold W. Knudsen of Houston, TX; her brother and sister-in-law Raymond H. and Mary Ann Knudsen of Columbia, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley A. (Knudsen-Pedersen) and James Fonash of Newfield, NJ; her sister-in-law Donna Knudsen of Coral Springs, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in Evelyn's honor to Good Samaritan Society of Socorro,1203 Hwy 60, Socorro, NM 87801. Evelyn's care has been entrusted to:
