Obituary

Everett Timothy “Tim” LeMaster, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, on March 24, 2026.

Tim was a man who found great joy in the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. An avid fisherman, he spent countless hours casting his line and enjoying the serenity of the water. He also had a deep passion for gold prospecting, always eager for the next adventure and thrill of discovery.

Tim dedicated his professional life to public service, building a long and respected career in corrections. Through years of commitment and leadership, he rose through the ranks and ultimately retired as Deputy Secretary of Corrections for the state of New Mexico. His work left a lasting impact on colleagues and the community he served.

He will be remembered for his dedication, adventurous spirit, and the quiet strength he brought to all aspects of his life. Tim’s presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his daughters, Lisa Castellaw (spouse Robert), Laura LeMaster Ackley, Leanne LeMaster Sams (spouse Rob), and Lynette Romero (spouse Eric); his brother, Roger LeMaster; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will also be held, with date, time, and location in New Mexico, once arrangements have been finalized.
