Ezra Greer

GREER- Ezra Greer, 87, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on October 20, 2010. Mr. Greer was born on June 4, 1923 to Euland and Leona (Dailey) Greer of Albuquerque, NM. He served in the US Army and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the Army of Occupation Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the American Theater Ribbon. Mr. Greer is a member of God’s House Church. He is predeceased by his mother, Leona Hutchinson; stepfather, John Hutchinson; father, Euland Greer; brothers, Oscar Hutchinson, John L. Hutchinson, and David Greer; sisters, Martha Massey, Olivia Rena Cannon, Mildred Dorsey, and Bernice Greer Williams. Mr. Greer is survived by his wife, Helen Greer; son, Gary Scott and his wife, Barbara; stepchildren, Deborah Verter, Cornelius Foster, and Kathy Crockett; grandchildren, Camille Crockett and Justin Butler; grandchildren Richard Summers and his wife, Michelle, Jackie Love, Ian Foster, Terri Watkins, Deshonda Young, Marvin Verter; sisters, Victoria Motz and her husband, Wayne, Helen North and her husband, Charles, Lula Magness and her husband, George, Henrietta Perkins, Viola Bundy and her husband, Joe, Marsha Brown and her husband, John; brothers, Euland V. Greer and his wife, Rita, George Hutchinson and his wife, Gwen, James Greer and his wife, Geraldine, and Jay Wright and his wife, Lois; a host of great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of relatives and friends. A Viewing and Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 25, at God’s House Church, 2335 Wyoming Blvd NE. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, also, at God’s House Church with Bishop Michael L. Shelby, presiding.
