Feliberto O. Chavez

Chavez, Feliberto O. Age 87, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014. He was born on January 10, 1927 to Marcos and Carlota (Lucero) Chavez of Vallecitos, NM. He retired as a Command Sergeant Major from the US Army after 28 years of service. He also retired from the State of New Mexico as a Personnel Administrator with the New Mexico State Penentiary. Mr. Chavez was very proud of his membership of over 50 years in the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Amalia Gilgen, Nora Martinez, Lionel Chavez and Edith Vigil. Mr. Chavez is survived by his children, Adella Birge of Albuquerque, NM, and Adelbert Chavez of Rio Rancho, NM; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Marcos Chavez and wife, Lydia, of Rio Rancho, NM; sisters, Maclovia Esquibel of Rio Rancho, NM, and Grace Martinez of Alcalde, NM. Viewing and Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:30 AM on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Daniels Family Funeral Service - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
