Felicia Yazzie

Funeral services for Felicia Elizabeth Yazzie, 39, will be 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 23, at Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup. Ramone Yazzie Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in family cemetery, Deer Springs. Visitation will be 9 a.m., Monday, Aug. 23, at Cope Memorial Chapel. Yazzie died Aug. 19, 2010, in Gallup. She was born April 2, 1971, in Fort Defiance, into the Water Edge People Clan for the Mexican People Clan. Yazzie graduated from SIPI and University of New Mexico. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, reading, listening to music and scrap booking and being with family and friends. Survivors include her brothers, Harry Tso Jr., of Window Rock, Ron Tso of Chinle, Ramone H. Yazzie of Window Rock; sisters, Harriet Stroud of Tahlequah, Okla., Carmelita Yazzie of Gallup, Ophelia Juan of Winter Haven, Calif., Debi Nez of Albuquerque. Yazzie was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy R. Yazzie, Franklin H. Yazzie Pallbearers will be Byron Tso, Darren Stroud, Hola Tso, Jason Owens, Andrew Yazzie, Franklyn Yazzie. The family will receive relatives and friends at family residence, Deer Springs, following services. Lookout for signs.
