Felipe Mujica-Granados

Felipe Mujica-Granados of Dumas TX, passed away on July 02, 2025 in Lubbock TX at the age of 66.

Felipe was born on May 04, 1959 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Antonio Mujica and Ofelia Granados. Felipe immigrated to the USA at a young age and settled in Bernalillo, NM. Felipe was a talented and passionate musician. He shared his abilities as a teacher in the Bernalillo Public School system where his gift was taught to many students leaving them a legacy of joy in music. He played in various mariachi groups throughout his career playing at special occasions. Felipe worked for several years at J.B.S. meat producers where he was known to all as a man of high work ethic and dependability.

Felipe was preceded in death by his father Antonio Mujica; son Felipe “Cacho” Mujica Ochoa; brothers Jose Angel and Jesus Manuel Mujica; and sister Maria Cristina Mojica. He is survived by his mother Ofelia Granados of Chihuahua MX; daughters Alexandria Mujica, Juana Mujicia and David of Bernalillo, NM; brothers Manuel Mojica of Dumas TX, Thomas Antonio Mojica of Chihuahua MX, Leobardo Mujica Ibarra; sisters Maria Guadalupe Mojica of Dumas TX, Concepcion Mujica Ibarra, Maria Laura Mujica Ibarra, Angelica Mujica Ibarra; God children Noemi Garcia Gutierrez of Bernalillo, NM, Eduardo Ponce of Dumas TX; grandchildren Bradley, Autumn, Georgia, Beau, Adaluz, Luna, D.J. Luis, Belen and Jose; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Manuel Mojica, Edgar Ponce, David Manzanares, Bradley Waddell, Juana Mujica, and Alexandria Mujica.

A viewing will be held at the Church of the Incarnation located at 2309 Monterrey Rd NE, Rio Rancho, NM on Wednesday July 23, 2025 beginning at 9:00am; the rosary will be recited at 10:00am followed by mass at 11:00am. A reception will take place immediately following mass.
