Felipe “Phil” Torres Sr., age 79—a loving husband, devoted father, proud retired U.S. Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sergeant, and faithful servant to God and country—was called home to Heaven on November 25, 2025. Surrounded by the unwavering love of his family, Phil completed his earthly mission with the same strength, dignity, and courage that defined every chapter of his life.
Phil lived a life rooted in service: to his nation, to his community, and most of all, to his family. As a United States Marine, he served with honor and pride, carrying the values of loyalty, integrity, selfless service, and resilience long after his years in the Corps. Those who knew him felt the presence of a man shaped not only by discipline, but by deep compassion and an unwavering moral compass.
Yet Phil’s greatest joy was always his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Felila Torres, with whom he shared a lifetime of partnership, laughter, and unshakeable love. He leaves behind his children, Tony Torres and wife Priscilla, and Tanya Torres, who will forever carry his wisdom, humor, and guidance in their hearts.
Phil was a proud and deeply cherished grandfather to Tiarre Villegas and husband Felix, Santiago Vega and husband Evan, Luke Torres, and Ellie Torres. His legacy continues through his beloved great-grandchildren, Kitana and Kai Villegas, whose lives already reflect the strength, tenderness, and spirit he embodied.
He will be remembered for his warm smile, his powerful presence, and the devotion he showed to those he loved. Phil was a storyteller at heart—sharing memories of family and friends, tales of his loyal dog Ziggy, casino adventures, perseverance, faith, and the countless moments that made up a life well-lived.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing he has been welcomed into God’s eternal embrace, where his beloved son Felipe Torres Jr. awaits him. Phil’s love will echo through the generations he leaves behind, and his memory will remain a guiding light for all who were blessed to know him.
