Felix Atencio

Felix Julian Atencio Jr., 88, a resident of Bernalillo since 2013, died on April 29^th, 2023.

Felix is survived by his spouse Mildred V. Atencio of Bernalillo; his son Fred and spouse Regina.

Felix was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Cortez. (Surviving spouse Hector Cortez.)

Felix is survived by his grandchildren Adrienne, Eric, Diego and Marcos; Sister and brothers Perciilla, Carlos, Richard, Margaret, Epiphanio, Cecilia, Tommy, Jerry and Antonio preceded by death.

Felix was an Army Veteran and a lifelong member of the Catholic church and faith.

Felix was born and raised in Cuba, New Mexico and entered the Army in 1956. He married Mildred on July 24, 1959, and they were married for 64 years. The couple moved to Los Angeles California in 1959 and eleven years later moved back to Cuba, New Mexico where they raised their two children and lived for 40 plus years.

Felix was loved by many and will be sorely missed.

A Rosary will be recited on the 19^th of May at 9:30am at St. Jude Thaddeus Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque New Mexico, 87114 with Father Tien-Tri Nguyen Pastor reciting Mass at 10:15am.

There will be a reception immediately following the Mass.
