Fidel Padilla Jr. passed away on January 31,2026 at home. He was born in Albuquerque on May 26,1954 to Fidel Padilla Sr. and Erlinda Chavez. He graduated from Valley High School in 1972 and worked in construction as a framer. He then worked with his brother Larry as he started Pro's Pest Control. He retired as owner of the company. On October 11,1986 he married Loretta Gurule, building a home and living in Bernalillo. He enjoyed RVing and especially fishing on the San Juan River. He was a competitive Yahtzee player and liked playing games on his tablet along with a cold Miller Lite! He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo, SAL member of American Legion Post 69 and past member of the Sandoval County Sheriff's Posse. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Loretta, Fur Baby Lane; Brother Larry Padilla of Boise, Idaho; Sister Stella (Calvin) Eickmeyer of San Diego CA; In-laws: Ray and Antoinette Sedillo, Joe and Janie Gurule, LeeRoy Haynes, Olivia Baldonado, Paul Gurule. God Children: David Sedillo, Sarah Gurule, Andrew Ronquillo and many nieces, nephews and their families. Preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Gillie Zamora. Special thank you to the caring and compassionate staff at Rust Hospital and Presbyterian Hospice. Services will be held on February 16,2026 at OLOS Church, 301 S. Camino Del Pueblo in Bernalillo. Rosary at 9:30 A.M., Mass at 10:00 A.M. Burial to follow at Sandia Memory Gardens Cemetery 9500 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque.
