Flavio Ricardo Herrera

HERRERA- Flavio Ricardo Herrera, age 62, passed away peacefully Monday, October 17, 2011 in Socorro, NM. He was born January 27, 1949 to Joe and Angelina (Armijo) Herrera, in Socorro, NM. He was a lifetime resident of the Socorro area. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran and love the outdoors doing many things including hunting, fishing, jogging. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Angelina A. Herrera. Flavio is survived by his loving wife, Denise Herrera; two sons, Flavio Herrera, Ricardo (Patricia) Herrera; three stepsons, Ryan Parks, Nicholas Rivera, Andrew Rivera; four granddaughters; one very devoted sister, Helen (George) Salome; two brothers, Polo (Yolanda) Herrera, Mike Herrera; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins . Rosary to be recited on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 10:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro. A Communion service will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 10:30 AM following the rosary, with Deacon Mike Ybarra officiating. Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following service. Pallbearers will be Edmund Olguin, Art Ortiz, Nicholas Rivera, Andrew Rivera, J P Herrera, Ricardo Herrera . Honorary pallbearers are David Roady, Eddie Aragon, Johnny Zamora, Rick Montano Sr. and all of Flavio's friends .
