Flora Yazzie-Green

Yazzie-Green died Feb. 26, 2010, in Tucson. She was born Oct. 29, 1963, in Crownpoint, into the Towering House People Clan for the Black Streak of Forest People Clan. Yazzie-Green attended Crownpoint Elementary, Albuquerque Indian School, Santa Fe Indian School and graduated from Thoreau High School. She was employed with Giant Travel Center over 17 years and was a volunteer for the Fire Department, Whispering Cedars and Bluewater Acres. Survivors include her husband, Robert Green of Oro Valley; son, Michael Emerson of Oro Valley; daughter, Chanteau Delgarito of Thoreau; parents, Ruby and Benjamin Yazzie of Thoreau; brother, Melvin Williams of Bluewater; sister, Nadine Martinez of Smithlake; two grandchildren. Yazzie-Green was preceded in death by Irene and Dan Yazzie, Jesse Thompson. Pallbearers will be Michael Andrew Emerson Sr., Anthony Raymond Kien, David Yazzie Sr., PEC Nicholas Brandon Kien, Sebastian Chaco, Melvin Williams.
