Fred Chavez

Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the age of 79. He was born October 11, 1932 to Leopoldo and Maria in Albuquerque, NM. Fred adored his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Fred retired from Consolidated Freightways. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Sally Chavez of 53 years; daughters, Suzanne Santillanes and husband Alfred and Carolyn Chavez; son, Freddy Chavez and partner Brad Pruitt; granddaughters, Monica Santillanes, and Julie Santillanes; grandson, Dominic Chavez; sister, Sally Barillas; brother, Benny Chavez and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Fred will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Fred's wish was to be cremated. A Rosary to be recited at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5525 Fortuna Rd. SW, on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 10:15 am; followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am. Inurnment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Fred's care has been entrusted to: Garcia Mortuary
