Fred L. McGrath

MCGRATH-Fred L. McGrath passed on to be with our Lord on July 25, 2010 in the company of loved ones while at prayer. Fred had been cared for his cancer related illness by family, Monica and Richard at home until the day that he quietly passed on to his eternal reward. Fred lived a long and fruitful life and had many friends who will miss him along with family. Fred was a veteran who served in the Merchant Marines. Fred was also quite proud of saying that he worked as a painter until he reached the age of seventy-eight. The family wishes to thank Monica, Richard and the VA Hospice program for their assistance and to thank all family and friends who visited and cared for Fred in his final days. Fred is survived by wife, Angelina Garcia McGrath; two sons, Fred Ortiz, Benito Garcia and wife, Emily; two daughters, Esparanza Roybal and husband, Floyd, Consuelo Alarid and husband, Tony; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Monday, August 2, 2010 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona St. SE and Mass will immediately follow.
