Frutosa Gallegos Rascon

RASCON- Frutosa Gallegos Rascon, born March 13, 1927, passed away June 16, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Manuel and Quiteria Gallegos; brothers Manuel and Ricardo; sisters, Delfinia and Maria; the father of her children, James Jackson Rhodes; her sons-in-law, Chuck Madril and Rick Hines. Frutosa is survived by her daughters, Gloria Madril, Patricia (Patsy) Hines, Judith (Judy) Rhodes, Mary Montano and husband David, Jimmie Rhodes and her life partner Melissa Loudat. Frutosa is also survived by her sisters, Seferina Baldonado and Matilda Rael; her brother Meliton Gallegos. She survived by her grand children, Louis, Juanita, Valerie Trujillo, Barbara Freda, Donald Trujillo, Jess W. Cross, James V. Rhodes, Adam Montano and wife Brie, Elizabeth Sanchez and husband Teles; and numerous great grand children and great-great grandchildren. Frutosa did not go quietly. She left this world just as she lived her life, arguing and letting us all know she wouldn’t be rushed into anything. Frutosa was born in Miles City Montana, raised in Solano and Sabinoso New Mexico. Frutosa loved children and was delighted by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Frutosa raised her daughters to be strong willed women just like herself. Frutosa loved life and lived it to the fullest for as long as she could. Please feel free to send flowers or make a donation to Foster Grandparents of New Mexico. Memorial services will be held Monday, June 21, 2010, at 8:00 A.M., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1800 Martha NE (Indian School Road & Martha NE), Mass following at 9:00A.M., refreshments following Mass in the parish hall.
