Gayla Jean Bloom age 67 of Albuquerque New Mexico, passed from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior at 3:00am on 9/21/26 following a short but noble battle with Glioblastoma.

Gayla was born on October 28, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to George A. and Billie Jean Miller. She was the 4th of their 7 children.

Gayla is survived by her husband Grant J. Bloom of Albuquerque; stepson Jay and wife Sara Bloom and grandson Bryson Bloom of Alamogordo; and grandson Clayton Bloom of Cheyenne, Wyoming. She is also survived by three sisters, two brothers, other extended family and in-laws - most of whom reside in Texas.

Gayla was preceded in death by her father – George A. Miller; mother – Billie Jean Miller and sister Dianne Lyles.

Services are scheduled for October 19, 2026 at the Daniels Family Funeral Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at the Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Dr. NE Albuquerque, NM 87113

A memorial meal be shared at the El Pinto Restaurant for family and friends at the completion of the services.
