Genevieve (Veva) Baldonado

Genevieve (Veva) Baldonado, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother to five generations passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the age of 85.

Genevieve is survived by her two children, Tomasita and Peter (Crystal); 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and two brothers, Andrew Mora (Margaret) and Henry Mora (Gloria). She is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon; four sons, Raymond, Abel, Robert and Joseph; parents, Francisco and Eufelia Mora; three sisters, Tomasita, Hoby, and Ruby; three brothers, Esquipula, Oracio, and Frank; and son in law, Antonio Vaquera.

Genevieve was born on May 9, 1936 in Cuba, New Mexico to Francisco and Eufelia Mora. She had eight siblings, five brothers and three sisters. She married the love of her life, Ramon Baldonado in 1952. The couple welcomed six children into their home, Raymond, Tomasita, Abel, Robert, Joseph, and Peter. Her children remember her as a kind and caring mother who encouraged them to pursue their dreams.

Genevieve was a generous and fun individual who loved cooking, going to the casino and going to bingo. She loved spending time with family and friends.

She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 am with a mass to follow at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Church of Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Road NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144. A burial will follow at the Algodones Community Cemetery.
