After working for Mountain Bell he went to work for White Sands Missile Range and in 1974, along with Evelyn, they started a Communication/Construction business. After many years of self employment, he went to work for New Mexico Tech until his retirement in 1998. In retirement GC and Evelyn traveled throughout New Mexico and were seasonal camp hosts for The Fort Craig National Historical Site for several years. He was a 50-year Mason, an outdoors man, he enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
