George R. Mabry

April 16, 1922 — October 18, 2011

Mabry, George R. Age 89, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 18, 2011. He was born April 16, 1922 to Grover Cleveland and Annie Laurie Mabry in Harmony Township, Illinois. George is survived by his wife Tressa, children Cynthia Corderman (David), Robert Mabry (Kat) and Richard Mabry (Beverly). Also, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. George graduated from University of Illinois in 1947 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He worked in the space industry and helped put man on the moon. George loved flying his airplane, baseball, fishing, dancing, telling stories, and being with his family. Services will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 10:00 am, burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in George's honor to Roadrunner Food Bank, www.rrfb.com, (505) 247-2052. George's care has been entrusted to:
